Before you come to the workshop: what to know
For a quick diagnosis, bring the drive, the enclosure or the PC concerned, with its cable. Note whether the drive clicks, grinds or gets hot, since when it no longer appears and whether it has had a drop or a liquid. These details help us target the fault from the start.
Above all, do not run repair software and do not reformat anything, even if the computer suggests it: this can erase what we might still recover.
